Snow Castle
If you take part in the Sampo or Ice Driving adventures, you can then walk across the street to the SnowCastle and tour this hotel made of ice and snow. It is as you would expect with a lot of snow sculptures and artsy designs that are all rebuilt every year. There is a restaurant for guests, and the suites are open to view until later that night when people begin to go in to sleep. Overall, this is a nice snow hotel and some of the features are really unique. In comparison to the Ice Hotel, it is much smaller, more crowded with large tour groups and there are no private suites offered for the night, only your private room with shared facilities.
The Tips
There are a lot of tourist groups that visit here and it can get quite crowded.
Tickets to tour the grounds do have a cost, require a guide and are only offered at specific times.
