Matterhorn
The Matterhorn sits on the border of Switzerland and Italy at 14,691 feet. It is famous for being one of the deadliest peaks in the world and the focus of many peoples’ bucket list. When skiing on the Swiss side, you can come close to the base of the Matterhorn and it is constantly in the background of almost every run you ski down. You can see it everywhere in Zermatt, but the best view is definitely during the helicopter tour.
The Tips
The helicopter tour is a perfect amount of time at about 20 minutes long, and provides a rare opportunity to see the other side of the Matterhorn.
